Dazed and confused

Never mind. The © , like a signature can be removed pretty easily by code boys.

I think maybe I’m looking back to actual tools and will make some ‘old’ art. I have an idea for one thing and I’ll try some others, but it won’t be skulls, toons, gamey stuff. Who knows? I did some flowers a while back, just because I didn’t do flowers and it was fun. Some landscapes. Big fail or big fun.

End of business as usual

I am going to reload my website with work that is appropriate for the A.I. world. By that I mean either vandalizing my displayed art with massive © symbols or simply not displaying it. I read a posting by an arrogant new AI user that if I didn’t want my art ripped off, I should keep it in a drawer. Well, since many of the ainerds can’t retouch things like mangled fingers, lopsided heads and missing or extra limbs, I feel editing out a ghosted copyright symbol is beyond them. So when I have the corrected images, I will reload some. Have a good year.

Restart

This is a new start for me with a new domain and website. As I review and regroup I thought it would be fitting to start with a much earlier painting. Part of my introspection is sorting out what is meaningful in my work. This oil painting was created when my skills were rough, but it was exciting to make at the time and has entertained me over the years. It means a lot to me for the path it marked and for the career that followed.

The magic that happens when composition, color, surface and form come together is a wonderful shock. It is the thing that is the prize, for me and for anyone who appreciates my creations. Some beautiful things are developing for the rest of this year. I will update progress when I can. In the meantime enjoy the site.
